Evidence File Craft
A practitioner program in financial auditing guidance for audit evidence management. You leave with a naming scheme, worksheets, and critique habits that shorten partner review — not with a certificate that impresses nobody who opens the file.
Modules
-
Engagement scoping & evidence inventory
Catalog what the file already holds, spot orphaned sources, and decide what must be requested before fieldwork intensifies.
-
Assertion-linked pack design
Build folder and ID patterns that survive mid-engagement reassignment of procedures.
-
Purpose lines that reviewers trust
Write short, testable purpose statements and avoid vague “to test completeness” filler.
-
Source integrity & bilingual packs
Handle Korean and English source mixes, scan quality, and chain-of-custody notes for confirmations.
-
Sampling Logic Lab
Document strata, exclusions, and exceptions so a cold reader can rebuild your judgment.
-
Analytical bridges & unusual items
Connect analytics to underlying evidence without burying the unusual item in a footnote.
-
Conclusion craft
Close each procedure with a conclusion that matches the work performed — including clear limitations.
-
Cold-review rehearsal
Clinic: swap files with peers, log questions, and remediate before the partner sees the pack.
Learning outcomes
- Produce an assertion-to-source map usable by a teammate who joins mid-engagement.
- Record sampling decisions with enough detail to satisfy a second reviewer.
- Identify three common documentation gaps that trigger avoidable review notes.
- Run a short cold-review rehearsal on your own pack using our checklist.
Instructor
Haeun Cho
Former senior manager who spent a decade on manufacturing and retail audits across Korea. Haeun designed Web Service Craft’s worksheets after watching too many capable teams lose review time to scavenger hunts. She still co-facilitates busy-season clinics from the Songpa studio.
Informational pricing
Evidence File Craft is delivered through the Evidence Studio seat (₩489,000) or inside Assurance Atelier cohorts. Field Notebook covers a lighter subset. No payment is processed on this website — see Pricing and Contact.
FAQ
Do I need a live engagement to enroll?
Helpful, but not required. We provide sanitized packs if you are between assignments. Learners with live files usually progress faster in clinics.
Is this a substitute for my firm’s methodology?
No. We layer practical habits beside your methodology. If your firm mandates a specific binder structure, we help you meet it with clearer evidence trails — we do not replace firm policy.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not teach full ITGC testing design or complex data analytics tooling. ERP extract integrity is discussed at a documentation level only; deep system audit skills need a separate track we are still building.
How are clinics scheduled for teams in Korea?
Sessions run in KST evenings during most of the year, with extra early-morning slots in January–March. Cohort clients can reserve private windows.
Reviews from this course
“Module 5’s exception log format is now mandatory on our inventory jobs. Still wish Module 4 had more examples of stamped corporate chops on scanned contracts.”
J. Han · In-charge, Gyeonggi
Cold-review rehearsal was uncomfortable in the best way. Partner comments the following week overlapped with what peers already flagged.
